下面這個故事，我覺得可以拍成電影了，因為他完成了很多不可能的事情，光纜佈放還是有其技術性，拉纜是人力，規劃可非一般。目前台灣 hinet 1Gbps 收費是台幣$3,599元/月，真的很難相信他們可以推出這麼便宜的價格。
這地方大媽（克麗斯汀‧孔德，Christine Conder）為什麼這麼厲害，鋪設了「世界最快的鄉間寬頻」，已鋪設了3,218公里長的光纖纜線，提供2,300位用戶1Gbps高速寬頻，比英國平均網速28.9Mbps快上35倍。
克麗斯汀‧孔德所建立的非營利社區互助網路服務組織稱為「B4RN」（Broadband for the Rural North；同時也取英文「barn」榖倉之意），現在已有14名員工及上百名志工，大部分工程皆由當地地主、農夫與志工合作完成。
收費的部份，家庭（Households）每月網路費30英鎊（約新台幣1,200元）。非家庭（non domestic Users）的微型小公司（員工5人以下）還有15人以下小學校收費和家庭收費相同，小公司（員工數6-15人）每月網路費60英鎊（約新台幣2,400元），中等規模公司（員工數超過15人）每月網路費150英鎊（約新台幣6,000元）。一開始的電路接線費（Connection）是150英鎊（約新台幣6,000元），這筆錢可以被優惠，如果你投資1500英鎊（約新台幣60,000元）。

Chris has lived in the Lune Valley for many years and is married to a farmer in Wray. She has been involved with the community in many roles over the years; for instance school governor and chair of Wray Endowed school during the eighties and early nineties and more recently supporter of a number of rural broadband projects. In 2002 she began campaigning for rural broadband and over the next few years helped establish a wireless network around Wray and a satellite network for rural farms. A founder member of Wray Com Com in 2003 and Wennet CIC in 2005. She is a pioneer of self installation fibre and a regular speaker at broadband events on the topic of rural broadband and DIY fibre build. She is a B4RN volunteer. She was awarded an MBE in the 2015 Queen’s Birthday Honours.

要這麼快的網路做什麼？除了幫家裡的牲畜在出生五日內於英國的環境、食品與農村事務部（Defra）線上登錄，高速的網路還可以看線上的高畫質電視，所以他們還做了一份小手冊教導會員們可以去買那一些高畫質的線上電視。
